This interactive, hands-on workshop is designed for hepatology nurses and clinical professionals seeking to enhance their skills in point-of-care hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA testing. Participants will receive practical training on the correct use of the Minivette® capillary blood collection system for Xpert® HCV VL Fingerstick test, with a focus on achieving high-quality samples and reliable test results in real-world clinical and outreach settings.

Led by experienced trainers, the session will cover key steps in the capillary whole blood collection process from a fingerstick, including patient preparation, blood sampling technique, proper handling and transfer of the specimen, and troubleshooting common challenges. Attendees will gain confidence in performing the blood collection procedure, improving patient comfort, and supporting streamlined HCV screening and diagnosis workflows.

Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, participants will learn best practices for testing in diverse care environments—including community-based programs, harm reduction initiatives, and resource-limited settings.
